Night Light Ministry

A couple of months ago I posted here on a ministry based in urban Bangkok called Night Light that combats the sexual exploitation of women and children. The devastating amount of pain and hurt those trapped in this trade experience is unfathomable. Yesterday we received an email prayer letter that illustrates the deep spiritual warfare that is taking place. Please take time today to prayer for these mentioned and for Night Light.

Pray for “J” who is struggling to be free from all the spirits.  Pray for her endurance. It is physically, emotionally, and spiritually draining and even painful for her. Its a significant battle though as many others are watching to determine if they dare to seek freedom.

Pray for “Nettie” who sees spirits and is haunted by them. There is a lot of trauma-related stress in her going back to childhood. Her mother had a witchcraft ritual performed on her when she was 7 days old in which a knife was used to break her breastbone. She faces a long journey of healing.

“N-N” is a newer employee who has shared that spirits taunt her every time she joins worship. She wants to be free but is not yet ready.

Pray for the staff who are almost daily facing these spiritual battles.

Pray for the women who have left NL that they will remain strong and continue to move forward in their faith. “U” had to leave because loan sharks were knocking on her door for payments toward her father’s debt.

Pray for more space! We cannot grow anymore until we acquire more space and secure more funding. There are still around 10 women on the waiting list.

Our volunteer and emergency shelters are maxed out now. We have 4 Thai women and 7 volunteers staying in the housing. We need additional housing for women in crisis since the need seems to be growing.

Sept. 28-30 is the second International Weekend of Prayer and Fasting for Victims of Sexual Trafficking. We encourage you and your churches to set apart some time to pray for the victims and for those who rescue and care for them.
